For matters concerning BGVS nationally — 23 states, 350 districts, around 300,000 volunteers. भारत ज्ञान विज्ञान समिति के राष्ट्रीय मामलों के लिए — 23 राज्य, 350 ज़िले, लगभग 3,00,000 स्वयंसेवक।
Membership costs ₹10 a year and is renewed annually on a numbered receipt. There is no online payment — membership is taken in person, through a district or block unit, which is what keeps the register genuine.
सदस्यता शुल्क ₹10 वार्षिक है और हर वर्ष क्रमांकित रसीद पर नवीकृत होता है। ऑनलाइन भुगतान नहीं है — सदस्यता व्यक्तिगत रूप से, ज़िला या प्रखंड इकाई के माध्यम से ली जाती है, क्योंकि इसी से रजिस्टर वास्तविक बनता है।

Kala Jatha troupes, literacy centres, Bal Manch children's forums, survey work and training camps all run on volunteers. Teachers, students, performers and retired government staff are all welcome.
कला जत्था दल, साक्षरता केन्द्र, बाल मंच, सर्वेक्षण कार्य और प्रशिक्षण शिविर — सब स्वयंसेवकों से चलते हैं। शिक्षक, छात्र, कलाकार और सेवानिवृत्त सरकारी कर्मी, सबके लिए काम है।
Donations to the samiti are eligible for deduction under 80G. The GVS Rainbow Home at Patna, which cares for around 50 children, runs on the Rainbow Home Foundation together with individual donations. Write to the state office for bank details and a receipt.
समिति को दिए गए दान पर 80G के अंतर्गत कर छूट मिलती है। पटना का जीवीएस रेनबो होम, जहाँ लगभग 50 बच्चे रहते हैं, रेनबो होम फ़ाउंडेशन तथा व्यक्तिगत दानदाताओं के सहयोग से चलता है। बैंक विवरण और रसीद के लिए राज्य कार्यालय को लिखें।
A children's science fair, a literacy seminar, a Kala Jatha performance or an RTE awareness camp can be organised with your local unit. The method is written down in the samiti's own guidebook.
